Alsalamualakum,
It is a pleasure to me to deal with such lovely group like you!!!
I would like to participate in answering this question:
What is a URL?
A URL, or Uniform Resource Locator, is the location of a file on the Web. When you type the address of a Web page into your browser, you are typing a URL. Therefore, URL specifies the address of a file and every file on the Internet has a unique address. Web software uses the URL to retrieve a file from the computer on which it resides.
In this sense, the first part of the address is called a protocol identifier and it indicates what protocol to use, and the second part is called a resource name and it specifies the IP address or the domain name where the resource is located. Actually, the protocol identifier and the resource name are separated by a colon and two forward slashes.
